How to hold the pipe and tabor

The tabor pipe is a one-handed pipe. There are two main ‘holds’.

The Pipers Hold

The Piper’s Hold

With the pipers hold, you cover the holes with pads between the 1st & 2nd joints of the fingers.


The Recorder Hold

In this hold you cover the holes with the tips of the fingers
