INTERNATIONAL PIPE AND TABOR FESTIVAL 2023 – OUTLINE PROGRAMME v1a

Have fun taboring in the historic centre of Grantham 15th – 17th September 2023, centred on Grantham House and St Wulfram’s Church, before Salisbury Cathedral this had the tallest spire in England. We’ll have workshops, sessions, and instruments. We are delighted to have Gaby Bultmann from Berlin as our international guest.

On 15th, after a morning tour of the local pipe and tabor iconography, our Symposium in Grantham House will be inspired by the historic chained library. There will be a session in the evening.

On 16th we will workshop, then process and perform with morris and Grantham Danserye before a Concert at St Wulfrum’s Church Celebrating Pipe and Tabor, with international artist Gaby Bultmann from Berlin.

There’s more taboring fun on 17th before fond farewells in the afternoon.

Workshops will include Gaby Bultmann on baroque style and ornaments (bring G pipes for this, or email  Andy Richards asking to borrow one).

Accommodation options are here.

Draft PROGRAMME is here, meanwhile please make sure Andy Richards knows if you are coming. Here’s a crazy clip from our little procession in Rotherhithe:
