Winter Warmer 2025 – 7-9 February (London, based around St Andrew’s Church, Thornhill Square, N1 1BQ). it’s going to include a Tour of Smithfield and St Bartholomew’s the Great* which is a very beautiful medieval church, and a talk by Mike Heaney “Where does Morris Dancing come from?” (with a late medieval focus). We expect a bodhran style taboring workshop from Bob (Bird) and a 15th century dance workshop including Danse de Cleves from Barbara. Bill’s V1A Outline Programme subject to change especially Sun pm.

20th to 22nd Sep 2024 for the International Pipe and Tabor Festival with Spanish guest artist Juanma Sánchez main events, at the Folk in Gloucester ( a wonderful Tudor building).
A Pipe and Tabor Beginners’ Workshop slot can be pre-booked by contacting us, Gillian will concentrate on teaching people the basics of technique and then send them away with a selection of tunes suitable for learners so they can work on them afterwards.

9 to 11 Feb 2024 in York for a Winter Warmer:
York would be from the evening of Friday 9th February to early afternoon on Sunday 11th. After Friday evening on 15th Century Italian dance, the theme Saturday onwards is Shakespeare “First Folio Masquerade”. The Winter Warmer programme is here – [page][pdf].
Please let us know if you might be interested in meeting on the 9th in Beverley and seeing the iconography in the Abbey, I suggest a 2:15pm tour of the Abbey (which closes at 4pm,) and visit / play at the Minstrels’ Church beforehand (see the programme).
